Mikayla AKA Miki baby

My friends Dan and Camille had a beautiful baby girl in March. Such proud and glowing parents, it was a sweet site to see. I got to meet Miki for the first time a few weeks ago, and she's precious!

Why choose a good Realtor

With the market the way it is right now, it's a buyer's market. Not as lucky for the sellers. But we all know this. There are a couple of good and really important reasons of why you choose and stay with a good realtor. Like in any business, personality and like-mindedness go a long way. Going with your gut feeling about a person is always right, even if you can't put a finger on it. Of course there are things like marketing, and is this person really searching everything and exactly what you've asked for. But there is also that one person who will go above your expectations, have a solid and truthful answer for all of your questions, and have the willingness to educate about the marketplace. Above all, I think that one of the most important and over-looked reasons is simply negotiation. We are all so concerned about the house-hunting or gotta-sell-my-house part of it all, who can even think about negotiation? An extraordinary realtor will fight for what you want. Easy as that. Ever watched HGTV? It pains me to see plain realtors who are simply relaying a message during a negotiation. If you're going to hire a realtor, you want to know that this person has successful and plenty of negotiation skills. Of course the world of real estate is now a part of my everyday life, as my husband Ryan Graham is a realtor and broker. I'm so used to his over and beyond negotiation skills, but still, many times here and there he still amazes me with what comes out of his mouth. Ryan is a perfect match to his job - he's smart, knows contracts and the laws of it, he's real as in 'keepin-it-real', extremely honest, personable, values his clients, and will blow you out of this world with his negotiation skills. Many qualities you want during the biggest sale of your life. The best part is, he absolutely loves his job.

The Dallas Austin Experience

The first Dallas Austin Experience was in Athens on April 18 at the fabulous 40 Watt. It was phenomenal. The idea and concept behind the Experience is extremely creative and unique. It includes the use of TV's, a movie, live music, and props to really get into the Experience. I've never seen anything like this performance, so if you get a chance to go see the next one, don't miss it!
